Biotope Network Plan for the municipality of Heilbronn
GefaÖ was commissioned to develop a biotope network concept for the vineyard region of the city of Heilbronn as a pilot project. The biotope network concept refers to the ‘state-wide biotope network plan of Baden-Wuerttemberg’ (“Landesweiter Biotopverbund Baden-Württembergs”) and integrates the already proposed biotope network concepts of the landscape plan. The submitted biotope network concept includes, among others, an analysis of the legal requirements, the identification of protected biotopes and relevant target species for the biotope network in the vineyard sites and an evaluation of the core areas, core spaces and search spaces of different requirement types. Within the framework of the biotope network concept target species-related measure concepts are identified.
